Ninjas in Pyjamas announced that they reunited with their former Paladins team to compete in VALORANT.
In November 2019, Ninjas in Pyjamas released the team members after they won the Paladins World Championship, the team consisted of Erik “Bird” Sjösten, Dylan “DiGeDoG” Chainski, KenLeander ”Isbittenner” Aspestrand, Malkolm “Bonkar” Rench, and Aleks “Alex” Suchev.
Now NiP is reuniting the team again and is in the process of finding a fifth player to complete the roster.
Bird, the former captain for the Paladins team will coach the team in VALORANT.
“We are extremely excited for the chance to continue as a team in Riot’s new title VALORANT under the NiP banner,” Bird said. “Our success in Paladins derived from a team-first perspective and we intend to keep it that way. We made the decision to transition to VALORANT as a team in order to keep our synergy and put the focus on learning the game itself as efficiently as possible.”
NiP’s decision makes sense, especially that both VALORANT and Paladins are somewhat similar, and they’re both hero-based FPS games. VALORANT is potentially going to be more popular than Paladins, which means their esports scene will be bigger and requires a higher skill-ceiling.
