Rumors are circulating that the popular game Overwatch by Blizzard Entertainment might be coming to the Nintendo Switch in the near future.
After an official Nintendo/Blizzard licensed Overwatch Switch case was found on Amazon, before quickly removed from the site, questions started rising on whether that means we’ll be seeing Overwatch on a new platform?
Screenshots were taken before Amazon took down their listing for the “officially licensed” PowerA Switch case once they figured out their mistake.

The details included along with it:

“Take your Nintendo Switch on the go with this sturdy compact case Designed precisely to fit the Console in handheld mode. Inside you’ll find a felt lining, Overwatch logo Tag, screen-protector flap with storage for nine-game cards, and zippered mesh storage pocket. This portable case with Overwatch design gives you the freedom to have fun on the go with your Nintendo Switch. Wherever. Whenever”.

Why would an official Overwatch Switch case exist if the game isn’t even on the Switch?
The only answer is that there’s a high chance that Overwatch will become playable on the Nintendo Switch in the future.
Speculation surfaced that if Overwatch becomes playable on the Switch, we might be seeing an Overwatch character joining the game Super Smash Bros, and the character most likely to be chosen will be Tracer as she’s always been the “cover” of the game.
Could this be the actual “Overwatch 2” that we heard rumors about? Or does Blizzard still have more surprises up in store for the community?

We’ve talked about a mobile version of Overwatch becoming a thing in the future in another article, the introduction of the game to Nintendo Switch only reinforces that a mobile game might happen.
