Former professional Overwatch player for the Boston Uprising, Walid “Mouffin” Bassal finally broke the silence after getting kicked from the league due to sexual misconduct allegations made towards him.

According to Twitch streamer KhaleesiBB, Mouffin has acted aggressively towards her and other girls, along with sending sexual private messages to underage girls.

The Uprising benched Mouffin for their week 8 matchup as they investigated the allegations. On April 4, Mouffin’s contract was terminated by the Uprising.

After two weeks of silence, Mouffin posted a lengthy TwitLonger addressing the allegations, he apologized for his actions while giving his side of the story.

“I’m sorry for disappointing all my friends, fans, ex-teammates, and ex-organization for all this.”

The first allegation Mouffin addressed was that he was “aggressive… and creepy” at TwitchCon, according to the former professional player he had just been “a complete simp,” never violent.

He mentioned that he broke down and cried all night after finding out that Khaleesi spent one of the evenings with another friend.

The second allegation Mouffin admitted to was him speaking with a 17-year old girl, who he called “€,” after TwitchCon. He claims to have “had no bad intentions,” but also admitted once she turned 18 they “grew more intimate with each other.”

The former pro did not comment on the alleged “nude images” he had sent to underaged girls, nor the allegation that he had been messaging Khaleesi’s friends “aggressively” for a week.

Mouffin explained that getting terminated was obviously bad but despite losing a lot he didn’t mind it because it meant he could go back to his home and see his family.

He also stated that he was “panicking” due to an arranged marriage awaiting him in Lebanon, which pushed him to find “the perfect girl” so he could avoid the arranged marriage.

Thomas ‘brussen’ Brussen has now replaced Mouffin in the Boston Uprising roster.
