It’s been a tradition for Riot to release a theme song for the League of Legends Worlds, but this year we haven’t heard of anything in the making and it’s been a week since the Worlds 2019 play-in-stage started.

League of Legends fans have been posting all over social media wondering when will the new song arrive.

The song has been leaked today on YouTube but still, there was no confirmation that it is the League of Legends Worlds 2019’s theme song.

A little while ago, Riot released the song titled “Phoenix”, performed by Cailin Russo and Chrissy Costanza for the League of Legends Worlds 2019, confirming that the leaked song is in fact that actual theme song.

The song starts out with “What are you willing to lose?” with a catchy melody, “You cover your wounds, but underneath them a million voices in your head that whisper ‘start now.’ Another twist of the knife, a turn of the screws, it’s all in your mind and it’s riding you.” The singer continues.

The video animation is nothing but stunning, something we’re all used to by now in all Riot’s cinematic. The video features Irelia, Lyssandra, and Karma.

It will be hard for the new song “Phoenix” to top last year’s Worlds 2018 song “Rise” that went viral with over 150 million views on YouTube.
