Three Fortnite console pros have been dropped by their organizations after cheating allegations rose against them during the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) grand finals.

Three North American players across two duos from the same organization that was competing in the NA-West console division of the FNCS have been accused of colluding with each other to ensure that one of the duos got a better placing, which resulted in their organization dropping them.

According to the winner of the event ‘paul1x’, Team Talon which Ruben, Drew, and Fayde were all part of, dropped into the same area to ensure Ruben and Drew got more points. Paul was in a duo with zScary, who was also a part of Talon.

He revealed a couple of screenshots on Twitter which showed a conversation between Fayde and Drew on where exactly they will drop. After the pairs agreed on dropping Salty, Ruben made the comment “don’t make it obvious.”

Under section 8.2.2 of the FNCS Chapter 2 Season 2 Official Rules, players may not work together to deceive or otherwise cheat other players during any match…[including agreeing] to land at specific locations or to move through the map in a planned way.”

Talon management released a statement on April 21 in regards to the actions of their players.

“We don’t condone the actions of what these players have done and will not stand for it. Talon has taken the necessary actions in order to fix the situation and preserve the name they were representing under.”

Drew and Ruben placed on the 15th, earning $875 each. Epic Games has yet to release a statement on the allegations but if it’s proven to be true it’ll likely affect the current standings in the FNCS grand finals.
