The PlayStation 5 will be officially released on November 12 at the price of $499 and $399 in the U.S. and some other regions, Sony announced in a live stream today.
The digital-only version of the PS5 will be priced at $399, their isn’t much of a difference other than not having a blue-ray disc drive.
The next-generation console will launch in the U.S., Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea on November 12.
As for the rest of the world, it will launch on November 19.
It’s been months of waiting and a lot of leaks and finally, fans have an official announcement from Sony.
Pre-orders are now live across various retailers for the console, its accessories, and its games.
Comparing the PlayStation 5 price with its competitor, the Xbox Series X will launch at $499, and the Series S will be $299.
There have been concerns that both consoles won’t launch in 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but luckily the pandemic did not stop Microsoft and Sony from keeping their word.
