A new image was leaked of the PlayStation 5 and we’re given a first look at the DualShock 5 controller. The image was shared on Twitter by Alcoholikaust which showcases two PS5 development kit, which looks similar to a previous image that was leaked a couple of months ago. The controller in the image though is assumed to be the DualShock 5, the next-gen PS5 controller, that its patent was leaked earlier this month. The difference between the DualShock 4 and the DualShock 5 presented in the image is the absence of the light bar. The DualShock 5 controller will supposedly come with a built-in microphone, but that image doesn’t confirm that. Sony has revealed that the DualShock 5 controller will feature much more advanced haptic feedback capable of providing different sensations depending on the surface the player is on in the game, achieved through a highly programmed voice-coil actuators’ situated in the controllers grips. The next-gen controller also has improved speakers, presumably to deliver better audio from the controller. DualShock 5 also has adaptive triggers, offering different levels of resistance in order to provide the proper tension. The DualShock 5 controller will have a larger battery than the DualShock 4 and it’ll be charged through USB-C. However, the downside is that the controller will be a bit heavier than the older gen.
