Epic Games has released an official statement regarding the lifetime ban Fortnite content creator and FaZe Clan member Jarvis has received.
On November 3, Jarvis “Jarvis” Kaye published an emotional video on his YouTube channel informing his fans that he was banned permanently for uploading videos of himself using an aim hack.
The news caused the community to divide into two, with one side believing the punishment was too harsh and starting the hashtag #FreeJarvis while the other believed that a player should not be treated differently, regardless if they’re a famous content creator or a professional player.
“We have a zero-tolerance policy for the usage of cheat software,” an Epic Games spokesperson told The Sun and TMZ. “When people use aimbots or other cheat technologies to gain an unfair advantage, they ruin games for people who are playing fairly.”
Its obvious Epic Games is not backing down from their decision to permanently ban Jarvis for using aimbot, and this is a chance for them to send a strict message to their players that try using any sort of cheat on their game.
FaZe co-founder Ricky Banks and popular streamer Ninja have also shared their opinions in regards to Jarvis’s bans, expressing that the punishment is way too harsh and that the Fortnite player should be given a second chance.
