Players have been discovering more and more bugs in Cyberpunk 2077 which led the game’s developers CD Projekt Red to offer refunds.
The hyped-up game Cyberpunk 2077 was found to be full of bugs especially on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while PC players suffered the least. Console players had to go through an unplayable frame rate and bizarre graphical errors.
According to players on Reddit, Sony announced they would be making an exception to allow refunds to be processed for the game, even after the usual grace period.
“PSA: Sony is issuing refunds even passed the 2 hour playtime for digital games, if you file a refund claim and talk to a rep,” a post on the Cyberpunk subreddit stated on December 13.
Although some players posted that their refund request was denied, while others had to deal with a long wait for their request to get accepted.
On December 14, CD Projekt Red issued an apology on Twitter for the state of the game on previous generation consoles. They also announced that players can choose to opt to refund the game.
“If you’re not pleased with the game on your console and don’t want to wait for updates, you can opt to refund your copy. For copies purchased digitally, please use the refund system of PSN or Xbox respectively.”
It seems CD Projekt Red has come to an agreement with Sony and Microsoft in regards to refunds, making it easier for players to claim their money back.
The developers have also promised to add updates that will tackle the issues on the PS4 and Xbox One in the near future.
