Anime DOTA: Dragon’s Blood is now available on Netflix worldwide, with all eight episodes under Book One live on the streaming platform.

The official Twitter for Dota 2 announced the release of a new Anime show called DOTA: Dragon’s Blood. It was created in partnership with Valve and Netflix Animation and was produced by Ashley Miller, who’s known for her work on Xmen: First Class and Thor.

The show was animated by Studio MIR, a South Korean animation studio that worked on The Legend of Korra, Young Justice: Outsiders, and Voltron: Legendary Defender.

The series will revolve around Davion, the Dragon Knight as he becomes a key player in “events larger than he could have ever imagined” within the Dota universe.

Netflix even got the Swedish DJ Basshunter to film an updated version of the 2006 hit song DotA’s music video. Looking at the comments it definitely was a great marketing tool that brought nostalgia to old fans.

The show is currently available on Netflix to watch and in 12 voiced languages and 30 additional languages are supported with full subtitles.
