Twitch’s partnership director, Hassan Bokari has been banned from the streaming platform two months after being accused of sexual misconduct.
Bokhari’s Twitch account under the name “Hassan” was banned for unknown reasons, Twitch banning its own employees isn’t something the community sees every day.
Until now the reason behind Twitch’s decision to ban one of its employees remains unknown, but some are speculating that it might be connected to sexual misconduct allegations made against him by several streamers back in June.
According to esports insider Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau, Hassan’s ban could be connected to the sexual misconduct allegations, which could have occurred after Twitch investigated the allegations.
“We engaged a reputable third party from to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the allegations,” Slasher shared through an unnamed Twitch spokesperson. “While it is our policy to keep individual employment information confidential, the investigation has concluded and we have taken action in accordance with the investigator’s findings.”
If the reason for the ban is connected to the allegations then it’s likely that Hassan’s employment at Twitch has been affected as well. According to Slasher’s sources Hassan is no longer an employee of Twitch.
As of yet, neither Twitch nor Hassan have shared any details on the ban. It is unlikely that Twitch will ever share any information publicly, a good example is Dr Disrespect’s sudden ban on Twitch which until now the reason behind that decision remains unknown.
